About Us
STEM Programs. Grants & Scholarships. Community Involvement
Our Expertise and Vision
With over 20 years of experience, Time 2 Give (T2G) stands as a testament to the transformative power of STEM education. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we bring together a diverse ecosystem of partners and a skilled team with expertise in business, technology, education, and grant management. Our singular mission is to harness innovation and technology to empower youth and forge sustainable communities.
Creating Impact Through Partnerships
Our alliances with esteemed institutions like the United Negro College Fund, Clark Atlanta University, and Atlanta Public Schools (APS), coupled with support from industry giants like Microsoft, fuel our purpose-driven initiatives. These partnerships are not just alliances; they are the bedrock upon which we construct pathways for our youth to excel in STEM fields, inspiring the minds that will power our future.
Our Creation Story
Laron Walker is a Southwest Atlanta native of humble roots who attended Atlanta Public Schools K-12. Upon his high school graduation from Fredrick, he received several scholarships to cover his college tuition/room and board but a $1000 scholarship written directly to him gave him the means to actually move onto campus. He then graduated summa cum laude from Tennessee State University (TSU) with a bachelor’s degree in
Electrical and Computer Engineering. Later, he enrolled in Purdue University where he obtained his Masters of Science in the same area. The $1000 scholarship resonated with him, and in 2004 he founded Time2Give with the initial mission to provide book scholarships for incoming college freshman.
Laron has always had a flair for being an entrepreneur, starting his first company while in undergrad. Laron later helped launch a number of technology start-ups that targeted niche markets, including STEM education. Due to his passion and involvement in the STEM education community, the mission of Time2Give was shifted to sustainable STEM based education support for K-12 schools and organizations.
Laron is the proud husband of Rachel Austin Walker, and father to Isaiah, Laila and Olivia.
Our Pledge for the Future
We’ve earned trust and support far and wide, ensuring our programs not only launch but thrive. From individual donors to corporate partners, every contribution enables us to offer our services, primarily free, to underprivileged kids in our community. As we look to the future, our strategic expansion into fee-based services for schools and grant opportunities ensures that our impact is not a fleeting promise, but an enduring legacy.
